Hi guys! Maybe you've watched the MTV VMA's the other day? I've seen really freaky things, but if Lady Gaga can get away with wearing a meat dress, why not put your boyfriend on your nails? Well, that's what Katy Perry must have thought. Katy made her appearance to the event while wearing custom made Minx Nails that were made only a few days before the awards. Being a celebrity really opens some fantastic doors! LA-based manicurist Kimmie Kyees applied the Minx nails to Katy, so her fiancee Russel Brand would by her side after all!
Ha, I think these nails are really well done, funny, wouldn't take this too seriously. Of course they're ridiculous, but who doesn't love ridiculous! Love how she rocks the "My Little Pony"-do as well. Wouldn't it be awesome if you could design your own Minx nail design? I'd totally do it. Easy Pretty Summer Nails DIY

Make your nails POP this summer! Don’t just stick with one color try juicy colors like yellow, hot pink, orange, red or green. Here is a simple way to create the prettiest summer nails right at home. Use a white color as a first coat and layer it with different colors on top. I would recommend matte shades instead of pearly ones. I wouldn’t recommend dark colors like navy blue or black.

All you need is a base coat, nail lacquers – white, red, yellow, green, etc…, and lastly a top coat. First, put on a base coat then apply the white polish. Starting from a thumb, apply a vertical band of color in the center of the nail switching to a different color for each nail. Wait until dries then apply top coat. That’s it! For a cleaner look, you can apply a horizontal stripe cross the middle or tip of the nails using just one color.
